Guitar Spotlight: Baden "A-Style"
There are many boutique guitar makers out there, but one of the newer ones that has really caught my eye is Baden, thanks to their unique designs. The "d-style" is a dreadnaught which is less curvy than a traditional acoustic. However, the real eye catcher is the "a-style" which looks like they took the lower half a small body acoustic and joined it to the top half of jumbo acoustic. This gives you a "cut-away" that is not a cut-away. Very cool.
Baden Guitars is run by a former Taylor Guitars employee and Baden guitars are completely hand made in Vietnam. There are three wood choices on each style. They are all solid-wood construction and feature Fishman Aura electronics. Street price begins at $1,498 with a hard case, and ranges up to the a-style Rosewood (above) which starts at $2,498.
