Classical Guitarists Do Rock
Anyone who thinks classical guitarists can't rock needs to check out Jonathan Adams of Montana Skies. Montana Skies is duo consisting of classical guitarist Jonathan and his wife Jennifer — who also rocks hard on the electric and acoustic cello. Don't believe it? Playing an acoustic, Jonathan starts out in a classical/fingerstyle mode. As the song progresses, they both use a looping pedal to lay down a backing guitar and bass track. Later Jonathan cuts loose with some rocking distorted lead, including some Van Halen style tapping. Then he and Jennifer pull of some harmonized leads. They wrap it up with a little Devil Went Down To Georgia. These two are obscenely talented. Check them out.
