This amp works great. Very easy to use. Simple EQ layout, Tr, Mid, Bs, Pr. Foot switchable channels (Clean/Dirty) Virtually idiot proof. Loaded with four 5881s and four 12ax7s (Sovteks and Groovetubes). There’s a bias switch so you can switch to EL34s or 6L6s if you choose and a half power switch that lets you cut the power to 50 watts instead of a hundred.

Just about any sound you want, from super clean to heavy overdrive, you can coax almost any sound out of this amp. If you’re looking for a totally maxxed out thrash sound, you’ll have to help it out with a od/distortion pedal. The sound isn’t that great at low volume but this babycomes alive when you start cranking it up. Did I mention this is one of the loudest amps I’ve heard? Blows my Marshall JCM800 into the weeds.

I have played the crap out this amp for over two years with zero problems. Carvin gear is built like a tank. Very well engineered, no particle board, quality throughout.
