  6. True, it is an easy to use amp. What can you expect from a small 10 watt amp? As far as what it promises, that is another story.

  9. The sound is the worst I have ever heard — complete mud. And its sound is brittle in highs, and if you back off, too thick and clunky. The EQ is way off.

  9. Ahh, had my old girl bout 5 years, she sounding bad now. But I won’t ever toss her, she has grown on me. Lots of sentimental value.

  12. Oooh, I have had this thing 5 years and I’m telling you I won’t never buy anything but Crate. You won’t believe what I’ve done to it. I’ve got mad and thrown it, uhhhhhhh, put cigarettes out on it, spilled drinks on it. My dog peed on it once. For 5 years, and I am not easy on it. I’d crank it up all the way. I think the speaker is maybe wearing out, but she is tough — I recommend it for beginners. I won’t get rid of it, it has a place in my heart. I learned all I know on it and I made a lot of songs on it.

  6. It promises that, due to its “Advanced Flexwave Technology”, it simulates the sound of a TUBE AMP?!?!?! But you know what? It makes your guitar louder and that’s what it’s supposed to do. It’s a PRACTICE amp. You’re not gonna bring this to gigs and stuff. It does the job OK.

  9. I’ve found you get an OK rock tone with the highs and mids all the way or almost all the way up and the bass rolled off like halfway and the gain almost all the way up. However, the distortion DOES sound really wimpy. I’ve found this amp is good for clean sounds like funk and reggae. Reggae sounds DOPE through this thing if you use a little bit of wah and turn the mids up and use the bridge pickup on your guitar, but that’s a different subject.

  12. I’ve dropped this amp a few times and it still plays fine. Paper speaker, though. I think it’s made of the same stuff as a cheap table. You know? Like sawdust all pressed and glued together? Mine has reverb and if it falls over with the reverb on, it does this crashing sound. It’s cool, though. It sounds kinda like that crackling thing at the beginning of Wipeout. Since it doesn’t break and makes a cool crackling sound, I give it a 4.
