  6. The Sonax 775-G works like a dream. It has never given me even a hint of trouble. Very easy panel to operate, and sounds great. Quite a steal for a pretty rare vintage amp.

  9. This amp delivers some awesome clean tone, and can handle a blues distortion pretty well. The only heavy distortions I’ve found that sound good through this amp are pedals driven on their own tubes, but I wouldn’t recommend using this as a heavy rock amp (even though it does make solos sound killer with the right settings dialed in). Tremolo is amazing. The reverb is a bit different, much more like a room echo. It’s pretty cool but I’d prefer a tradtional reverb in this thing. Besides that, this thing sounds good in all applications.

  12. Solid as a rock. Light too. Great for small clubs gigs. Takes a lickin’ and keeps on tickin’.

  6. Its my first “vintage” amp. It doesn’t have the original 4x10 setup. Buddy I bought it off had switched the four 10’s for two 12’s from an old Kustom or something. I don’t doubt they might be bass amp speakers, as the high range is a little lacking. I have since acquired another 12 from an old Traynor PA setup. The amp rocks, but could use a little more treble response. The reverb, which I had to repair, is a little weird. It is a spring unit but sounds too hollow. It gives more of an echo effect. Most times it is turned off. Tremolo, I have no use for. It is also turned off. Would love to have one with original speakers.

  9. Sounds good, depending on what you are playing. Makes good clean sound, but when you crunch it, the amp starts to get cloudy and muddled. Makes a good blues amp though.

  12. This thing is built like a brick house. I bet I could throw it through the window and leave it outside for a week, play it and not notice a difference. It’s a fridge. The power switch could use replacing though. It has a sweet spot. You know what I mean.
