Line 6 Flextone II HD

Line 6 Flextone II HD

  1. Name: Chuck

  2. Price Paid: $750 used

  3. Performance

  4. I have to say that I’ve been playing guitar for about 19 yrs. and have played clubs and such for years. Just to let you know that when I rate this, it’s from actual experience. I’ve had a Marshall half stack for about 13 yrs. It WAS my tried and true, but no more. When I recently purchased the Line 6 HD, I hooked it to the 4X12 Marshall cab and was blown away (yes, I tried it at the store, but not the same.) This thing sounds very close to everything it tries to emulate.

  5. Performance Rating: 10

  6. Sound Quality

  7. I quickly figured out the channel/manual switching, not difficult at all, and was sounding like anything I wanted to. I play heavy rock and it blows my poor Marshall head away. It’s bad, no doubt. I was skeptical about switching to a non-tube amp, because let’s face it, you know how a tube amp sings. Not anymore. Line 6 rules! They definitely have an awesome product.

  8. Sound Quality Rating: 10

  9. Construction

  10. The head is light, about 40lbs! haven’t had it too long, so I can only praise the sound quality, which is basically bad to the bone. I don’t plan on drop kicking this thing, and always protect it with a surge protector. Has worked the last hundred times I’ve turned it on.

  11. Construction Rating: 8
