Performance
After I brought my sweet little “woman” home, I played a couple of gigs, and then she blew up, for all of Columbus to see. This was a used amp, so I wasn’t all that surprised. I then had it re-tubed with Sovtek 6L6 tubes, with a proper bias and cleaning of all the bar “spooge” that seems to prolificate itself on all surfaces, and BING BANG BOOM, what an amp. The input jack was broken, but my amp dude fixed that as well. Three years later same tubes, same amp dude. Two years later, I can say that Sovtek is not as good as they used to be, because I had a horrible failure; grid load and all of that, but I have a secret. JJ’s. If you retube a Marshall 900 series, use JJ’s, it will bring it back to life.

Sound Quality
Once The thing is dialed in right, it can hold it’s own with anything on the market. I’ve had people using the new Marshalls ask how I get that sound, and people who want one, what model it is.

Construction
This is a well constructed amp, period. I have played it outside, inside, it has been dropped, beer sprayed, subjected to snow, rain, mud. I can say that it will outlast me.

This amp is very easy to use very few knobs and I love that, it does exactly what it’s supposed to do — be a great stage amp.

Sound Quality
This is where this amp kicks butt on everyone else. If you can’t play lead guitar, go buy a Mesa Boogie. Every lead guitar hero I have uses this amp. I use three heads on stage, this by far has the best lead tone on our planet. Every time I play people just love my sound.

Seems good, never have had many problems other than I go through tubes a lot, but I play all the time and very loud.
