  5. This amp is a mean mother. It is very simple to use, and gives those mean tones that all of us metallers strive to get.

  6. Performance Rating: 9

  7. Sound Quality

  8. If you want to play some dirty metal, this is the amp for you. It has more bite than my roommate’s 50W Dean Markley amp, and the clean setting is good as well. The FDD drive switch is very excellent, gives the amp that little extra boost that you always find yourself asking for: “If it were only a bit heavier, dude!” Even though this is just a 15W amp, you can play loud enough for good personal practice. The emulated headphones jack provides a great tone through a headset too.

  9. Sound Quality Rating: 9

  11. I’ll be honest with you man, I treat my guitar and amp like crap. I kick em around, drop them, and any other number of abuses you can put an amp through. Still, its got the same sound as the day I bought it.

  5. It works perfectly. I have never had a single problem with this amp. I bought this to practice / learn with my Fender Strat (custom, it’s similar to the Tom Delonge model, only its 20 yrs. old.) I started with a Dean Markley K-15 which sounded like crap, this new amp is amazing. It’s simple to use, play around with the dials for a wide variety of sounds. A great amp.

  8. It takes a bit of adjusting to get a clean sound you like, but it’s a great sound. It’s amazing both clean and with overdrive. The Bass-Contour (replaces mid)-Treble really affect the sound, and the FDD switch (frequency dependent dampening, supposedly makes the amp simulate a loud speaker) adjusts the sound slightly, but is just left on all the time on my amp (I find it sounds better.) A great beginner and practice amp.

  9. Sound Quality Rating: 10

  10. Construction

  11. Well built. The combo is deceiving in that there’s an 8-inch speaker behind a cloth which could hide a 10-inch. Its a good speaker though. There’s hardly any distortion at higher volumes on clean channels. It is fairly solid and an all-around good 15-watt practice amp. I highly recommend it.

  12. Construction Rating: 10
