  5. Performance

  6. This amp is an overall great amp. It does what it is supposed to. Although it may not be loud enough with drums going around it, it’s loud enough for use at home. It is extremely straight-forward: 1 input, 1 cd input, headphone jack, footswitch and an 8 ohms extension jack for an optional speaker cabinet. Has low, mid, high EQ and has reverb. I am giving it a 10 for doing what it is supposed to for its price.

  8. Sound Quality

  9. This amp actually sounds better than some amps priced way higher. It even sounds better than some brands such as... you ready?... Marshall. Yes that’s right. It sounds way better than a Marshall ValveState amp in the lead channel. Either Marshall valvestate amps sound bad or this amp sounds better — either way, you take your pick. The clean channel sounds great and has a lot of headroom. Also, playing leads on this thing is what really wins my praise. Bending and doing vibratos on high notes really cuts it with this amp and muted scales really have this “chomp” feel, especially on the D string. I am also giving it a 10 for sounding how it is supposed to (or even better) for its price, comparing to other amps of its class.

  10. Sound Quality Rating: 10

  11. Construction

  12. I haven’t had any problems with this amp except with the terminals at the end of the power cord which gets loose sometimes and cuts the power when the cord is stepped on. I am giving it a 8 just because of the troublesome power cord terminals.

  13. Construction Rating: 8
