Performance
Loud when I want it to be, yet it whispers just as easily. A lot of buttons, but with these buttons comes individual functions and settings. Could be louder, but I bought a 2x12 not a stack...

Sound Quality
I use dual humbuckers and play a lot of Heavy stuff. I run my guitar to a Digitech tube preamp and then into my amp... and I just love my sound. Through these 2x12’s it’s still crunchy and sounds like a rectifier stack. Through the preamp (and this is important) the amp sounds wonderful. However by itself, the gain is kinda wimpy. Good for blues or jazz though.

Built like a tank. Never had any problems with it, never even had to replace anything yet (knock on wood).

Performance
This amp does everything its meant to do although some of the extra buttons make things more complicated than I care for them to be, but I don’t worry about all that. It is 50 watts with two twelve inch speakers. It has reverb and stereo chorus and two outputs so you can use your chorus through other amps too, all this works very well.

Sound Quality
If you just play straight through without any of the onboard effects it’s great, nice and loud and has a good sound. The reverb is nice and sounds very smooth and the chorus can go either way. It can go from barely noticeable to star wars space ray gun, but then you can get the settings too fast and too deep and it’s just noise. I’d say the sound here is about average.

Construction
This thing is as heavy as a dump truck. I don’t know if other Peavys are like this, but they must have used some solid wood on this one. It is constructed well and I would say it’s very reliable. I have never had any problems with it whatsoever.
