  6. This amp has been pretty solid. I use Fender tube amps and this guy - both have their benefits. I love the clean channel on this - just seems so natural. And it has plenty of overhead so it can be turned up quite loud. I have NEVER had it to full volume. Too much. Distortion sounds great up to about 12 o'clock, but I'm no metal-head so maybe those guys will like it tuned up more. A bit of a buzz sometimes, but nothing major.

  9. Clean is a 10. Distortion is an 8.

  12. Built like a tank. I always take this to gigs as my main amp, or as a back-up (depending on what I'm playing - some music I use different amps). My keyboard player uses it from time to time. It is a bit heavy, but I know I can count on it.

  6. I have never had any problems at all with the two 112 specials I bought. Very dependable amps. Works great for country or rock, lap steel. I'll never sell them. The only thing I don't like is the hiss when cranking up the supersat. The last gig I played the manager ask me what are you gonna do with that shoe box. Well by the end of the show everybody though I was playing through the double stack Marshall 100 setting behind the 112. Sweet!

  6. Even though I only paid $200 dollars for this amp. It is (in my eyes) worth 3 times a much. This is a great amp/monitor. I am in an acoustic band now but back in the day this was the best amp on the streets. It's like... An asian kung fu guy. It's little but it packs a punch. Great for little venues or larger ones. But I blew it playing on 10 with the stock speaker. I inform everyone to not do this. I can overpower my friends with Marshall half stacks. Great amp.

  9. Amazing. You would never think looking at this amp that you could play large venues with it. But you can for sure. Awesome clean channel. Mean distortion. And amazing reverb. Get this amp.

  10. Sound Quality Rating: 10

  11. Construction

  12. Tough shell. Hand wired. Great holder for reverb springs.

  6. This amp is one of the best I’ve played. A really clean channel, really good gain. The 12 inch “Scorpion” speaker makes for a awesome sound. It has enough power to keep up in open spaces (i.e., halls, fields.)

  9. The sound on this amp is beautiful. True clean channel, really good gain, best used with a pedal though.

  12. This is one heavy amp to lug around. I suggest getting roadies or something. It is very well built, tough plastic casing, solid handle. The only flaw is that it seems the handle won’t support the actual amp (it will, but I don’t think it will most of the time.) Overall, this is one kickin’ amp.
