  6. Performance Rating: 10

  7. Sound Quality

  8. Great range of tones. 1-5 is nice and clean. Crank it up higher and get nice tube overdrive. If you find one for under 400, buy it!

  9. Sound Quality Rating: 10

  10. Construction

  11. Solid. If you are playin on a resonant stage, bring a pillow or towel to put under it. The tubes will make noise if they are vibrated by the bass or bass drum.

  6. This amp works perfectly, is really easy to use, because you’ve got just 2 volumes (channel one and Channel two), then Treble, Mid, Bass, and presence, really easy to get your tone.

  7. Performance Rating: 10

  8. Sound Quality

  9. Excellent, a lot of bass end, that makes my SG, really punch. When I use my guitar with the clean channel, sound sweet with lots of harmonics.

  12. With the whole volume, I mean with the volume at ten you get that ‘70s rock sound like AC/DC.

  9. I use a 4x12" VOX speaker cabinet from 1965 and they sounds great together. You can listen to my sound at the Marvingers website.

  4. Performance

  5. This amp is built in Russia and I’ve had to replace some components but otherwise it has been serving me in rehearsals and gigs (indoors and outdoors in rain) for several years.

  6. Performance Rating: 8

  7. Sound Quality

  8. This is a straight ahead tube amp, sounding like one. The true guitar sound comes through exellent with a fat clear presence that makes it good for blues and root rock. There’s no master volume so if you want blues-style overdrive you’re gonna get it loud. The good news is that it reacts just fine to Dist/OD pedals (tube screamers and Rat for me). The normal channel works great for both single coil and humbuckers but if you want sparkling highs the bright channel is the way to go. Used with a Marshall 4X12" cabinet it really sounds “bassman-like.”

  9. Sound Quality Rating: 8

  10. Construction

  11. The 50watt tube amp head use three 12AX7 in the preamp and two 5885 to give the power. There are two channels (normal and bright) who share eq (bas, middle, treble & presence). The construction seems fine, but as I wrote, I had to replace some components that started to buzz after six mounths. After that it has been used daily for about 4 years and I’m very happy with my amp.

  12. Construction Rating: 6
