Boss DS-2 Turbo Distortion
Name: Francois Maillet
Price Paid: $125 Canadian
Performance
This pedal is very simple to use. You can adjust the distortion just the way you want with the “Tone”, “Distortion” and “Level” knobs. You also have two modes. Mode I delivers a smoother, flatter frequency response, while Mode II punches the midrange for more bite. You can switch between modes with a footswitch. This is great if you have to do a solo and need a power boost.

I don’t have that much experience with effect pedals but I can tell you that I love this one. I find that the distortion sounds really good. You can get a lot of different types with the different knobs controls so this will probably suit the needs of most people.

Boss lives up the its reputation! This pedal is rock solid. I’m pretty sure I could throw it against the wall for three hours and it would still do the job.
