This is possibly the easiest multi effects processor to use. Also you can chain 8 different effects at once which not many pedals allow. The foot pedal also has many different uses. If you think this product is not user friendly, good luck finding another.

For the price you really can’t ask for much more. Effects are definitely not top quality, but it has so much to offer (# of effects) you can’t expect all that.

Solid. I must have spilled at least a keg of beer on this thing and it still works the same as the day I bought it.

This is without doubt the worst effects pedal I have ever had/played with in 30+ years guitar playing. It distorts sound even when playing clean. I find the controls complicated and NOT user friendly.

I use a 1960’s VOX climax a lovely sounding valved amp. When using the DOD TEC 8 it sounds like an elongated donkey fart! And it always sounds out of tune.

Rubbish, cheap construction. Crap stupid tiny push buttons. It’s light and if I were to pluck up enough courage to GIG it, I would have to tape it to the floor. I have wasted money in the past but I must have been pissed [drunk] when I bought this load of crap!

I bought it used about 5 months ago. It was easy to figure out the programming, even without the manual. Everything works as far as I can tell. The power supply jack was loose on mine, had to tighten it up. I wanted effects to play with on a budget.

I like all the effects and combinations thereof that can be created, except for the generic distortion. They should have left distortion out the equation and embellished more into the flange, delay, chorus, reverb and wah pedal. It is a bit of a tone sucker, but not to the extreme I’ve seen on some posts. It’s not the pedal boards fault if you sound like crap.

Well... It’s about 5 years old already and everything still works. Not crazy about molded plastic stomp boxes, but the cure is, don’t stomp. It only requires a tap. Mine is in good shape and may either have A: not been played much or B: was really well taken care of. All in all, for 90 bucks, I got a steal. Good luck getting all these effects at that price.

This thing is a real tone sucker. It will ruin the sound of your guitar even when not using any effects. The effects are even worse than you can imagine. It’s also very difficult to change settings during a live performance.

As I said, I have never seen such a tone sucker anywhere. The effects are really unusable.

This is the cheapest I have seen. The expression pedal will not even stay where you put it. Even just using it as a volume pedal is impossible unless you want to keep your foot on it all the time.

Absolute crap. I bought this a long time ago and ended up sending it back. The foot pedal was weak, effects were weak, the construction was weak. I was young and foolish at the time, and didn’t realize that generally speaking, never buy anything from DOD or Zoom, unless you enjoy cheesy sounding rubbish.

Delays were abysmal and useless. Modulations were sub-average. Distortions were okay, but nothing special. Wahs were particularly lacking. The weird effects like pixelator and ring modulator were kind of transparent, interesting, but not much good for my kind of music.

Cheap as drinks in a casino. Plastic everywhere you look. The foot pedal was really weak. It wouldn’t last through any kind of gigging, that’s for sure. I think a few of DOD’s stomp boxes might be okay (some DOD distortion box I played once was actually pretty good), but as a general rule, DOD sucks.

This multi-effects device works pretty well. It is easy to use, and offers a variety of pre-programmed and user-programmable effects combinations. The only negatives I can think of are (1) the wah effect is noisy and has a shallow tonal range, (2) the auto-wah effect is very shallow, (3) some effects cannot be used with others — apparently because of the way the selection process is set up. It does what it promises.

The effects are a little noisy. There is a noise gate, but it just kills the signal — the desired sound along with the noise — at a selectable time delay.
