Works great, once you fix it. I had volume drop problems when using it at first. But if you turn it over and open it up, you’ll see four trim pots (screws) on the circuit board. Three on top (ignore them unless your flanger doesn’t work at all), and one below them. Turn the one below them all the way clockwise, and now all is well. Three controls: Rate, Depth, Color. Plus filter matrix switch (basically disengages the sweep, you sweep the freq. manually with the depth knob). Takes a while to find the sound you want.

It’s the best flanger ever. No, really. Easy to get Andy Summers sounds (since he used this w/ The Police), warbly chorus/flanger stuff, thumb-on-the-tape airplane flange, rotating speaker type stuff, and more. Excellent. The Andy Summers sounding setting is really cool. It sounds like a chorus at first, but then there’s this slow kind of warble, adds much depth to a clean sound, more than just a chorus would. Sounds great with distortion too.

I’m not sure how much I trust it. Once the filter matrix switch came loose and it wouldn’t work properly. It was easy to fix, but EH stuff is not that solidly built. I do however think they make the best-sounding effects ever (Big Muff, Small Stone, Small Clone, Electric Mistress — all the best in their class).
