  6. Works great for both practice and gigs. I've been gigging with it since 1999 and still doing so. Until now it hasn't let me down, although I have to say that when using batteries it: 1.- eats 'em up kinda fast 2.- tends to not work properly when batteries are getting weak. I recommend using either rechargeable ones (when they're squeezed, it just won't turn on... simple) or an AC adaptor.

  8. Sound Quality

  9. Awesome sound!! rich / fat distortion, with a big crunch to it. I used to play cover songs and now mostly original ones, going from heavy rock to metal. I would recommend it for rock / punk / metal / thrash / etc. except extreme metal/grind core and on. For soloing I think it lacks presence and sustain by its own, that's why I use an echo/delay pedal, this combination works great, trust me. It has a true bypass mode, crystal clear sound when turned off. It has volume, tone and gain, simple. Can go from AC/DC (low gain) to Metallica (hi gain).

  11. Construction

  12. Plastic cover. Yes, plastic, but built like a tank!  I've been using it for 12 years now, it has scratches, chips, been hit, stomped 100s of times and is still working, what more proof do you need? Although mine sometimes doesn't turn on at the first stomp, but hey, it's 12 years old, it's a real tough little guy! get it, you won't be disappointed!

  9. Dude, you guys want some fat bass on your distortion, then get this pedal, sounds a lot like the Boss Metal Zone, ( I should know, I have one too) I use it on my 60 watt Peavey Express and my Peavey 200 watt Duce. It freakin’ kicks!

  12. Well what can I say? It’s plastic. I like Boss and Danelectros construction more, but come on, you’re not going to be using the pedal as a football right? And I have dropped it lots of times, my boy keeps on working!
