Well, the wah is good, of course, like all Snarling Dogs wahs. Three settings, White Room (bassy) Voodoo (mid) and Shaft (trebly). Great for Hendrix, yadda yadda. The ring modulator is great. You can control it with the foot pedal or set it to one frequency. Many bizarre and chaotic sounds available. You can also use the wah and ring mod together. It takes a while to get the hang of the ring modulator though. One month later, I finally figured out how to make awesome sounds with it.

Wah- great lead guitar tone, great funk tone, but it has a lot of gain. Even at the lowest volume setting, there’s a bit of distortion. Rolling back your guitar’s volume knob a bit solves this problem (if you’re playing clean wah stuff). However with distortion, the loud volume is a bonus, because it will increase sustain. The ring modulator is cool, cool, cool. Super sweet. I’m not trying to be Devo or anything, but this is great for chaos and anarchy and scary noises. I have many ambient noisemakers, but this is my only blood-curdling noisemaker (used with other effects especially.)

Seems very solid, though many Snarling Dogs products seem to have defects. Some luck is involved. It has a 1-year warranty anyway, so if it breaks, they’ll fix it (they better.)
