The guitar plays like no other. The action makes it easy to play fast while still keeping structure to what you are playing. It has a complete and solid sound.

The guitar came with very nice pickups, They picked up every note that was played and they had a perfectly molded tone through every sound. The pickups seem to spill out the notes without causing a lot of extra noise. I have played this guitar with every setting I can think of : Clean, vintage overdrive, heavy metal, modern rock, the pickups sound great with all of them.

I have played this guitar every day for the last year and a half, and I played the guitar every day for 3 months in the store before I bought it, and I have yet to have a problem. As long as you take good care of it, it will take good care of you.

I rank this guitar the highest of the Korean-made guitars. For a low-end model, this guitar plays beautifully. I bought it used (barely) from a friend’s guitar store, who specializes in the sales of Fenders. The body is lightweight and balanced perfectly. The action on the fretboard is incredible considering it isn’t a handmade guitar. I have no fret buzz. Tuning stability is astounding. The string alignment is dead-on (I’ve bought one or two other brands that had a nut unevenly cut). Both fingering and bending are extremely easy and very comfortable with its 24 extra-jumbo frets and thin neck. I was surprised to see Seymour Duncans on such a low priced guitar, but pleasantly surprised. These humbuckers give you the deep, warm sound you expect, but without the muddiness you get from, let’s say... a Les Paul. This guitar could easily compete with others that range from $1000-2000.

As I mentioned above, regarding the Seymour Duncan (Duncan Designed) humbuckers, you get a crisp and clear sound, along with the deep, warm tones you expect from humbuckers. Thanks to a well-designed, but not out of the ordinary, Tune-O-Matic bridge and stop-bar tailpiece, this guitar has sustain for days! Not even my brand new Strat has sustain anywhere near this guitar! I was a bit apprehensive about tone versatility, considering it has dual humbuckers, but wow... there’s just as much versatility as a 3 single-coil guitar.

Very solid. Even though it’s not made of mahogany, or ebony, ESP has found a secret and used it in their construction technique. Although lightweight, this guitar is extremely solid providing great tone. The hardware is great and doesn’t give any signs of giving in anytime soon. ESP has built this guitar to last. Overall, I would have to say that it’s about time a big-named manufacturer began making good quality guitars at affordable ($300-350) prices. It never ceases to amaze me how Gibson and PRS consider $1000-2000 affordable! Get with it, guys!

I rank this guitar on the lower end of good — 4 — because it had suffered some abuse on the sales floor. I had to rescue it! The action is on the poor side because I can’t get it low enough over the high frets without the strings buzzing on the lower frets. I hope a truss rod adjustment will help. Other than that, no problems. The neck is great; 24 XJ frets and a little thicker than the Ibanez Wizard necks. Very fast and comfortable for both rhythm and lead playing.

This guitar sounds like a brighter Les Paul, due to its ash body, Tune-O-Matic bridge, and Duncan Designed humbucking pickups. It’s the tone I was looking for. I find mahogany body guitars too bassy. No excess noise to speak of. Neck pickup could be a little “fatter” sounding, but I’m being really picky. Good basic 3-way switching. Bridge pickup is tight on the bass and generous with midrange grind when distorted.

I’ve had the guitar about three weeks. I think someone dropped this guitar in the showroom, because the bottom strap button was broken when I bought the guitar new. When I pointed this out, the dealer gave me an additional 10 percent off, which allowed me to afford an SKB hard case. Sweet! They fixed the strap button for me and it seems pretty solid, but I don’t want to test it. I’m sure it will be the first part to fail. I learned a lesson: test drive guitars on the showroom, but order them directly from the factory or from a mail order company. The chrome plating on the bridge adjustment screw head chipped really easily. Go easy on the hardware; it’s solid, but it won’t last forever like the more expensive gear.
