This is a well thought out capo design that works really well and does what it advertises. I have used it for a couple years now with no problems whatsoever, so I think that I can safely say that reliability is not an issue. This thing just refuses to pull the strings out of tune, it's very easy to use.

The Bird of Paradise Capo works great. As long as you place it correctly, it produces no noise of any kind, only clean, nice tone, so I give it high marks for sound quality too.

At first with construction of the capo made from fiberglass and lexan, it looks kind of questionable whether this thing will hold up, but I have used mine for a couple years now and it still works great! I even stepped on mine accidentally and it didn't break, so I'd say it's pretty tough!

Gotta love this thing! Innovative design, functions better than classic capos as it does not pull the strings out of tune. Looks funky as well. I went with the all black “pro” version, but colored “blades” are available for the courageous!

If your frets are in good shape, any decent capo should sound clean.

Jury's still out on this point. Plastic rather than metal will always create doubt. But, the design is simple, tests on the parts under stress/friction are claimed to be positive.
