  6. I have been playing for 6 years and I must say this is the best pickup I’ve ever tired. It has a hot output (but you have to place it near the strings) for maximum gain. Output is hot, trebly not in a bad way the bass is pronounced and the mids are great. The secret to this pickup is it’s a Rock pick-up. IT MUST BE OVER DRIVEN WITH DISTORTION! It screams like an angel in hell or satan in a cold tub. SO, I have no Idea why some people give the Red lace sensor a bad review, it does wonders for me. I recommend it for rock, hard rock, and metal (with a 25 db mid range booster) — but not essential.

  9. Not really muddy, clear pronounced even sound with lots of character. High output. The Sensor’s made for distortion and has no vintage sound but a Rock sound with a slight quack, meant for distortion. A little muddy when clean, though it’s not too bad. As I said it screams like an angel in hell or satan in a cold tub. It’s fairly tame but hasn’t lost its animal instinct at all. Mind you I’m using a fender TXB pot on my Mexican Fender that allows the sensor to flow to the amp. So it increases the bass but also exceeds the treble but not too far, just the right amount. So when it bypasses the tone control, but even when the tone control is working, it is still bassy — excellent for great leads and cutting solos. That’s my sound review.

  6. I have played with this pickup a grand total of maybe 1/2 hour my entire 6 years of owning it and I will never use it again unless I mistakenly strum too far and take the switch to the bridge position.
