Hotter than the original on my American Strat but, only about 1/3 hotter. I also lost some of the clean/twangy sound I use to have on the 2nd notch up from the bridge setting. It is SOMEWHAT crunchy like the humbuckers on my Les Paul but not quite. I’m still thinking if I’m gonna put the original back on or not! What’s got me thinking is, did I gain or loose? And if I gained, was it worth what I lost? There is a fine line in these pickups vs the originals. The original pickup are really quite good if used correctly with the right amp.

It’s supposed to be really frickin hot, but it’s not. It’s a little hot, kind of trebly (bridge position.)

Sounds cool. Just on it’s own, it’s a bit thin, unless you add distortion, in which case it comes to life. With the middle Silver pickup (position 4), however, it sounds great clean or distorted. I think it’s a good choice for the bridge position.
