  6. Easy to use. Just plug it in. Works just like a stomp box but you can tweak it a great deal to dial in your favorite guitar tone. The small DIP switches can be a bit of a pain to use, but every thing else is easy to use and self-explanatory. I've used it both and live into an amp and direct into the console for recording and I've been happy with my results.

  9. It can take some time to get the “right“ sound dialed in, but you can really get some good tones out of it. I play mostly hard rock and metal and the Sansamp does the trick. For some of the really heavy stuff, I use a Boss Metal Zone in front of the Sansamp, but for the most part, it's the only thing between my guitar and amp. This is awesome for Zeppelin-esque songs.

  12. I've heard that some folks have had trouble with reliability, but I've never had any problems. I've used the Sansamp in the studio, during practice and on gigs and it's taken a beating and still holds up fine. The outer shell is metal and seems pretty durable to me. I give it a 6 on reputation, but mine has been a 10.

  6. There is not a lot that you couldn't do to your guitar sound with a graphic with this pedal. Its just an over-rated distortion pedal.

  9. This pedal turns my 3000 dollar Deluxe Fender Strat into a 50 dollar job from the K-mart.

  12. It cost me 230 aus. dollars to have a new chip and output pot put into this pedal. I never know if its going to work or not. The bypass switch works sometimes, other times it just gives a crackling sound when I turn the unit on.
