  6. The SansAmp GT2 is a tube-amp emulator. It is not intended to be a multi-effects unit (ie POD, V-Amp). Think of it as a the best distortion pedal ever, that is modeled closely on 3 famous tube amps. Product does everything that is claimed! Can be used for direct-recording or in front of a PA or solid-state clean amp.

  9. Sounds amazing. Not only does it sound like 3 real tube amps, you can change things like mic position, gain levels and eq. I have read that many people say that this is the best tube emulator on the market for direct-recording (eg: PC), but I say that this sounds excellent in front of my Peavey Studio Pro 112 Transtube (clean channel). Emulates the phat saturated sound of the Fender amp (Tweed), raunchy Marshall stack (British), and meaty Mesa Boogie (California). Most distortion/overdrive pedals sound good only in front of a tube amp. This is designed to make solid-state sound unreal! Add a slight chorus and delay, and you sound incredible!   6. This box is designed to emulate tube amps by the popular manufacturers Marshall, Fender, and Mesa/Boogie. The controls are for level,high, low, and drive. Now for the cool part. You can also set a sound for mic position: off axis, center, classic. Mod: hot wired, high gain, clean. AND AMP: California (Mesa), British (Marshall), and Tweed (Fender).   9. You want an SRV TS808 sound? Dial it in. Hot rodded Marshall? No problem. Old school Metallica? Got it. Old VH brown sound? It's pretty close. The manual can pretty much guide you to most sounds you could be seeking. I'm very surprised and please with this pedal. Very versatile.
